ABOUT
Josie Lovage Gramig as The Doulamentarian Proudly presents to the Marina Del Rey community her first class for Caregivers and their Littles:
Music & Movement with Ms. Josie.
A playful community class for babies, toddlers, young children, and their caregivers.
Join us for a warm morning of music, movement, sensory play, bubbles, rhythm, story-time, and caregiver connection. We’ll sing, dance, explore instruments, play with colorful silks and props, practice gentle baby/toddler movement, and end with a short book and goodbye circle.
Josie draws from a wealth of knowledge, having trained in professional vagonova Method ballet for 10+ years at The Louisville Ballet School. She touts multiple summer intensives such as The American Ballet Theatre 2015, Cincinnati Ballet 2014, and the Atlanta Ballet in 2013. During her years of dance education she also versed herself in styles such as Modern dance, musical theatre jazz, and spanish flamenco dancing.

Added Weekly Classes &
Split levels
As our class scales and our community grows I hope to bring added locations and split levels to my classes.
The goal is to have two levels: Family & Me community space and gentle baby sensory experience. For Parents and babies age 3mo - 18mo.
and
Toddler energy-burster, a lively and fun hour for kids and caregivers to explore, expand, and express themselves. For Parents and toddlers age 18mo-4 years.

Guest Artists
As Music & Movement with Ms. Josie grows, we’ll invite emerging Los Angeles artists into select classes for short, child-friendly performances and interactive creative learning moments.
Guest artists may include musicians, dancers, flow visual performance artists, puppeteers, storytellers, singers, poets, and readers.
These mini-collaborations give children early exposure to live art, movement, music, language, and performance in a warm, playful setting — while also building a community space where local artists, caregivers, and little ones can connect.
Giving back to our Community
Music & Movement with Ms. Josie is built with accessibility in mind. As the program grows, we hope to offer free and low-cost classes for parents, babies, toddlers, and caregivers in Pico-Union, with a special connection to the Hope Street and Angelica Center for Arts and Music community.
This give-back model is deeply personal to me. As a close member of the Angelica center for arts and music (ACAM) community, I’ve witnessed the care, creativity, and belonging that the center helps cultivate for children and families. My life partner teaches youth theatre, boys movement, and meditation classes at ACAM for kids ages 3–18 and serves on their board, and through that relationship, ACAM has become an important part of my own extended community.
A portion of proceeds from paid classes and private events will help fund community classes for families who may not otherwise have access to early childhood music, movement, and sensory play programming.
Our goal is to make music and movement feel like community care: playful, inclusive, accessible, joyful, and rooted in real relationships.
